Western Silk Roads offer a rich source for story-telling and can provide your tour with a meaningful, historical background. Module 3 applies the knowledge of the previous modules to different countries in Europe and presents lots of examples and suggestions for preparing your own Silk Roads tour.
Wika Trel is a national tourist guide in The Netherlands and member of Guidor, the Dutch Tourist Guide Association. Born in Poland, she studied English Philology (grad. 1988 form University of Silesia, Poland), worked as a translator, established her own training company and obtained an MBA in International Business (1999, joint degree from University of Economics, Katowice, L’ Ecole National des Ponts et Chaussesses (Tech), Paris and University of Bristol). In 2000, she moved with her son to The Netherlands where she worked as a sworn translator and interpreter. New inspirations drove her to tourist guiding. Since 2018 she has been Dutch delegate to FEG. As a qualified guide and FEG Trainer in Accreditation she is motivated to put ‘the art of guiding’ in practice and transfer her knowledge and experience to colleagues.
